“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever…
It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”
— Aaron Siskind
I love this quote. It expresses the very reason you’re reading this. The very reason I’ve came to fall in love with photography and went to study this art at the Stellenbosch Academy of Design and Photography.
I think you’ll agree that life is incredibly precious. And the moments that make it so, unquestionably short-lived: It’s a kiss, a touch, a look. It’s the bumps, the birthdays, the time you said I do…and the celebration 50 years after.
All these moments colour our reality and give meaning to our lives.
Photography gifts us with the astonishing ability to remember, relive and revel in memories that would otherwise be lost in time.
It would be my absolute pleasure and privilege to capture and cement these memories for you.
I count myself lucky to live in the most beautiful area in South Africa: The Helderberg Basin. It’s in the Western Cape (some lovely locations for shoots here by the way!) but I’m totally willing and able to travel if required.
